Terms of Service
Effective September 7, 2026
These terms govern your use of Korea, On Your Own (the "Service"), operated by 비포 (Before), Republic of Korea. By submitting the request form and paying, you agree to them.
1. What we provide
We plan and check trips to Korea. Depending on the plan you choose:
- Verified Itinerary — a day-by-day itinerary delivered as a PDF (and in chat), in which each restaurant, café and spot has been checked by a person in Seoul against Korea's national business registry and Naver on the date shown next to it. One round of changes is included. No reservations.
- Booked & Companion — the Verified Itinerary plus a set number of reservations that we attempt on your behalf, in Korean, under your name; same-day reminders; and a human reply on Telegram, WhatsApp or KakaoTalk between 9am and 10pm Korea time during your trip.
- Halal planning add-on — grading of each restaurant (Muslim-friendly or Self-check) with the reason, prayer-room routing, and ingredient checks with owners.
We do not sell or book flights, hotels or accommodation, and we do not book clinics, dermatology or other medical or cosmetic services.
2. What “verified” means
A verified item was checked on the date stamped on it. We cannot control what happens after that date: a restaurant may close, change hours, or refuse walk-ins. Coverage differs by city and each item says which kind of check it had (verified daily for Seoul and Busan; public data plus a phone check elsewhere). The itinerary is planning advice, not a guarantee that a place will be open or available when you arrive.
3. Ordering and payment
- You order by completing the request form and paying through PayPal (PayPal balance or a debit/credit card). Prices are in US dollars and are fixed at the moment you submit the form.
- Work begins only after payment is confirmed. We do not send drafts or itineraries before payment.
- Booking plans are sold only for trips starting at least 7 days after the order date. For shorter notice we sell the Verified Itinerary only.
- If we cannot serve your request at all (for example a destination we don't cover), we will tell you within 24 hours and refund you in full.
4. Delivery times
The itinerary is sent within 24 hours (Korea time) of payment. Reservations on booking plans are confirmed, waiting or replaced with an alternative within 72 hours of your answers to our booking questions. Times are targets we meet in the ordinary course; delays caused by missing information from you, or by venues that do not respond, extend them.
5. Reservations
- Reservations are made in your name with the venue. The venue's own rules apply: deposits, no-show fees, time limits and cancellation windows are between you and the venue.
- We guarantee that we will try every reservation and offer an equal alternative if one fails. We do not guarantee a specific table at a specific venue on a specific night.
- Reservations we cannot secure, where you decline the alternative, are refunded per item as set out in the Refund Policy.
- If you cancel or miss a reservation we made, any fee charged by the venue is yours, and the reservation is not refunded by us.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information in the form, especially dates, group size, dietary and religious requirements, allergies and access needs. We plan from what you tell us.
- Passports, visas, travel insurance, flights, accommodation and your conduct at venues are your responsibility.
- Halal grades: “Muslim-friendly” means the owner confirmed to us that no pork or alcohol is used in the kitchen; “Self-check” means suitable dishes exist but ingredients were not confirmed and the decision is yours. We are not a certification body.
- Allergies: we pass your requirements to venues and flag risks, but we cannot guarantee that a kitchen is free of any ingredient.
7. Cancellation and refunds
The itinerary is a customised digital product that we start producing right after payment; once delivered it is non-refundable. Reservations and other cases are handled as set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Communication and translation
We communicate on Telegram, WhatsApp, KakaoTalk or email, in your language. Messages are translated with an AI service and read by a person; a human replies between 9am and 10pm Korea time, and outside those hours you receive an automatic note. Translation can be imperfect; if something looks wrong, ask and we will clarify.
9. Limits of our liability
- We are not the provider of any restaurant, activity, transport or venue in your itinerary and are not liable for their acts, quality, safety, closures or prices.
- To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of your country of residence, or your statutory consumer rights there.
10. Your itinerary
The itinerary is for your personal use on the trip it was made for. Please don't republish or resell it. The venue data behind it comes from public sources and Naver; we do not republish either.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Seoul, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules where you live. You may also use PayPal's dispute resolution process for payment issues. Before any of that, write to us at ceo@b4our.com with your reference number; most issues are resolved within a few days.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the version in force when you paid applies to your order. The effective date is shown at the top of this page.
